Gustav Adolph Henry and Wilhelmina Hechinger immigrated to the United States in 1864.  They traveled aboard the Hansa, which embarked at Bremen, Germany, and arrived at the Port of New York on 10 May 1864.  They settled in Louisville, KY, where they married in 1867.
